Busan Port Authority (BPA) held a roadshow in Guangzhou, China to attract Chinese investors, while taking part in the largest trade and investment exhibition in China. BPA along with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Busan City government, Yellow Sea Free Economic Zone (YESFEZ) and Gwangju City government held a briefing session for investment in Korea at the Western Hotel of Guangzhou, in which 200 participants from local logistics companies got together.
In the session, Vice President of BPA Mr. Hwang delivered a greeting speech and briefed on Busan Port? and Busan New Port? current status and future development plans. In addition, BPA signed a memorandum of understand to explore new service lines with Guangzhou Logistics Alliance, which is handling more than 60% of the total trade volume in and out of China.
BPA will have a promotional booth at the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). The 14th CIFIT, known as the largest trade and investment exhibition in China, is expected to attract 13,000 visitors from 127 countries across the world. BPA is going to hold a consultation session about business opportunities at Busan Port and a seminar on Septembers 9 to give further information of Busan Port? current status and competitiveness.
