Hanjin Shipping announced that it is launching new services covering the Far East, India and the Middle East beginning in November.
Named FIX (Far East India Express) and FMX (Far East Middle East Express), these two separate services will replace the existing FIM (Far East India Middle East).
FIX, with five 2,500 TEU class vessels deployed by partner carriers, including Hanjin Shipping, KMTC and STX, is set up to cover the growing demand in India boosted by CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) settled between Korea and India back in August. This new service will launch in November.
FMX, targeting the Middle East, is co-operated by Hanjin Shipping, STX and Sinokor, where partner carriers will deploy six 4,000 TEU vessels as the service begins operation.
Meanwhile, Hanjin Shipping commented that it will continue efforts to develop new services that meet the needs of the market.

FMX (Far East Middle East Express) Service
- Port Rotation: Qingdao - Ulsan - Busan - Kwangyang - Shanghai - Ningbo - Kaohsiung - Shekou - Singapore - Bandar Abbas - Jebel Ali - Khor Fakkan - Karachi - Singapore Qingdao
- Vessels Deployed: 6 x 4,000TEU (4 from HJS, 1 from STX, 1 from SINOKOR)
