CKYH Alliance announced a direct service between Vietnam and the U.S. East Coast.
The alliance, Coscon, ??LINE, Yang Ming, and Hanjin Shipping, will add Ho Chi Minh City in its current AWE-4 (All Waters East Coast-4) service from the middle of next month.
The new service is operated by K Line and will deploy 8 vessels of 3,850 TEU
CKYH Alliance said that this direct service between Vietnam and the U.S. East Coast will enable them to provide customers with higher quality service and easier access to and from Vietnam, a region that is currently experiencing rapid economic growth and development.
CKYH Alliance added that this is the first direct service from Cai Mep terminal of Ho Chi Minh City to Norfolk and New York.
Port Rotation will be as follows:
Singapore-Ho Chi Minh City-Shekou-Hong Kong-Yantian-Norfolk-New York-Halifax-Singapore
The service will commence with the MV Verrazano Bridge? arrival at Ho Chi Minh City on August 18, 2009.
