Hanjin Shipping announced that it took delivery of a 4,300 TEU ship, the Hanjin Monaco, the last of a series of eight 4,300 TEU vessels ordered from Samsung Heavy Industries in 2005.

This state-of-the-art ship with a fuel-efficient and eco-friendly engine is scheduled to be deployed in the company? AWN (All Water North Atlantic) service leaving Busan on May 23rd.

Attending the christening ceremony held today at Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje Island, Won Woo Lee, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive of Hanjin Shipping? Container Liner Business Unit, commented, ?eploying this ship will allow us to provide our customers with better services.

He added, ?espite the current global economic recession and the unstable shipping market, we will carry on our efforts to create an optimal fleet as we have planned for our long-term growth.
Hanjin Monaco is the last delivery of owned vessels for Hanjin Shipping until the end of 2010.
