Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (Yang Ming) announced that they would jointly launch with China Shipping, Hanjin Shipping and ??Line, a new dedicated service between the Far East and Red Sea (RES) from late February, 2009.
The new RES service will run with six vessels capable of loading 4,000 TEU and offer a fixed-day weekly schedule. The port rotation is as follows:
Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Jeddah - El Sokhna - Aqaba - Singapore - Shanghai.
Yang Ming will deploy three vessels in the trade while China Shipping, Hanjin Shipping and ??Line will each deploy one vessel.
Yang Ming said that by providing the RES service it is confident to commit to customer demands and enhance its service coverage between the Far East and the Red Sea.
