COSCO Container Lines Ltd. (COSCON) has reached an agreement with Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd. (PIL) and Wan Hai Lines (WHL) on the Asia – Europe trade where COSCON will release 1,500 TEU space per week on its Asia Europe service (AES) from the 1st week of December, 2008.
The AES service connects China with North-West Europe calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Nansha, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Singapore，Hong Kong and Shanghai, and is operated with eight 10,000 TEU vessels.
The current FES service jointly operated by PIL/WHL will be suspended when PIL/WHL start loading on the AES service.
